First Sucker

I went to the bank today and they gave Charlie a sucker. As far as I know it was her first sucker and from what I could tell she really liked it!
You can see her "Mo" Easter egg in this picture. She was so excited when she saw them in her Easter basket.

Aunt Jelly's New Camera

Last week, during my Spring Break, we went up to Chattanooga to visit Aunt Jelly. She had just bought an awesome new camera and took these pictures while we were there. I must say that I am having camera envy and would LOVE to get one (I know it can't be as nice as her's but a new, fancy one would be nice. :)) for Mother's Day. Which is May 8 if you are reading this Ryan...hint hint. :)

Easter Fun

Saturday the Schultzs (DeDe's family) came to our house for Easter. We ate, played, ate some more, and hunted for eggs. After the egg hunt we hung out talking and played a game. It was a lot of fun having everyone who could make it over. All of them have hosted holiday events at their homes, so it was nice to return the favor. We had 4 kids including Charlie. She loved having "big" kids at our house! She wouldn't sleep a wink while they were here. She CRASHED around 7 and we didn't hear a peep from her until after 7 the next morning. Twelve hours straight is unheard of for Charlie. Anyways....on with the pictures. :) Here they are playing Simon Says and Charlie is trying to get in on the action:

And the hunt begins....Yes, there was an outfit change because it was crazy cold and windy outside. Charlie wasn't sure what to do about the egg hunt. She would point to the eggs but wouldn't pick them up. DeDe and Nise tried to help her figure it out. :)

She ended up just taking all of the eggs out of her basket.

Pop helped to corral C and keep her out of the road.
Layton pushed Charlie around. She loved having another kid to play with!

Play Ball!

This afternoon Charlie decided to play catch with Buddy and Tippy. I think she's been watching Ryan and taking notes. The dogs are so good with Charlie! They are very gentle and don't snap at her.

Birmingham

This past weekend Ryan, Charlie, and I went to Birmingham. We headed down Friday, hung out Saturday, and went to the zoo Sunday.
Charlie loved playing on the fluffy king sized bed.

We stayed at Ross Bridge and attempted to go to the pool Saturday, but that plan was spoiled when Charlie got sunblock in her eyes. She was not a happy camper! So we headed back to the room to hang out.
Overall we had a great time. Ryan even took me to the mall! If you are reading this then you probably know that doesn't happen very often. I think Charlie enjoyed the zoo. She helped me feed the lorikeets, we rode on the train (which was her favorite thing), and she got to pet a rooster and a goat. When we were riding the train she kept holding her arms up like we were on a roller coaster. Maybe she'll like roller coasters, so I'll have someone to ride with. :) Of course the camera died about half way through the zoo, but here are a few pictures of our first trip to the zoo.

Spring Time!

Charlie loves being outside! She loves getting to run around, pet the dogs, and ride the lawnmower with her Daddy. If she hears the lawnmower running, she thinks she is supposed to be on it. Of course we only let her ride when the blades are off and boy does she throw a fit when she has to come inside while Daddy stays outside on the lawnmower!

Accessorizing

This morning, while I was getting ready for church, Charlie went through my bathroom drawers like she always does. Usually she'll get out some little bottles and carry them around or just throw the bottles on the floor. Today she found some of the necklaces I keep in there. I saw her pulling all of the necklaces out thinking she'd just leave them on the floor. Instead she decided to put them on...all of them. I promise I didn't help her at all. I was waiting to see the end result!

If she could talk I would've asked her to say, "I pity the fool!"
