Is it genetic?

First off let me say that we didn't set these pictures up. I was cooking dinner (this makes the previous statement sound like a lie...) and Ryan and Charlie were playing in the den. He hollered for me to come and see Charlie because she was checking out his teeth. It made us wonder if she might follow in Pop or DeDe's footsteps....Hum? :)

The Washcloth

Charlie has a bad habit of sucking the water out of her washcloth during her bath. Ryan and I try to keep her from doing it, but sometimes we aren't successful. The other night during her bath Ryan was squeezing the water out of the washcloth and Charlie was getting frustrated and decided to take matters into her own hand.... after she gave Ryan a little talking to.

Revenge

I left one of my cameras on the floor the other night and this is what happened. Something tells me that Charlie is sick of me taking so many pictures. :)

Prunes?!

Last night Ryan fed Charlie prunes for the first time. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but she actually liked them. They made a bit of a mess, but most of them made it into her tummy. That big smile is for her daddy. I think she is already learning how to wrap him around her little finger with that grin.

Two are better than one!

Charlie was playing the other night and enjoying chewing on her giraffe. And then the cheetah caught her eye...Next time I look at her she has them both in her mouth. She cracks me up!

One of my favorite things....

We have a nightly routine for Charlie when we are home. She eats supper, takes a bath, puts on lotion, and then it's time for pajamas. I think this is the time of the day I enjoy most with her and Ryan. He usually gives her a bath and I love seeing the two of them interact. Seeing them play together and bond warms my heart. Even when they make a huge mess. :) I love seeing Charlie in her footie pajamas and holding her before she goes to sleep and getting a whiff of her clean baby smell. I know I sound like a total cheese ball, but these are the moments I cherish.

Peas and Thank You

Charlie does not like peas. More peas end up on her bib, face, and everywhere else than end up in her tummy. She cracks me up when she is trying to avoid the spoon, arching her back as much as she can to get away. She is a mess....literally.

A Day at the Park

Our Sunday School class had a get-together at Gattman Park Saturday. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and had a great time hanging out. Some of the kids and adults played on the splash pad. As you can see by the abundance of children (this is just part of them) our class is following what God said in Genesis 1:28 about being fruitful and multiplying.

A Rare Picture...

I'm always taking pictures of Charlie with other people. But I very rarely remember to get pictures of Charlie and me. I think this is a very common problem and one person tends to be the photographer in the family. I've been doing better lately. I just hope I can keep it up. :)

Party Time!

Today Charlie is 6 months old. It's hard to believe that half a year has already passed...We had a party to celebrate her half birthday. Ryan thinks I'm crazy for celebrating her half birthday, but I thought it would be fun to have a get-together with our families. And when I mentioned he would get to grill on his Big Green Egg he liked the idea a little more. Of course, Charlie took the longest nap she has ever taken while her grandmas waited patiently for her to wake up and play. Maybe she was getting geared up for the party....

A is for Apple

Drive-In

Friday night we went to the drive-in with Grant, Leslie, and Xan. It was Charlie's first time to go to a movie. We had a great time hangout, watching Xan and Charlie play, and watching Eclipse. Xan fell asleep during the movie and was nice and quite.....Charlie on the other hand was having too much fun playing and staying up late.

That's just my baby daddy

Not sure what happened to the camera here...

Fourth of July

Sunday we went to Sharon and Leslie's house to swim. Charlie had a lot of fun hanging out and swimming. She wore all of her patriotic clothes (DeDe made the red outfit) and got to hang out with family and friends. Uncle David and Uncle Michael were there too!

Fourth of July with the Schultz Family

Saturday was DeDe's birthday! It was also the Fourth of July celebration with the Schultz family. We went to Denise and Tommy's house. We swam, ate a lot of good food, and had a great time seeing everyone. Charlie had so much fun she was pooped when we headed home.
