Big Girl Chair

Charlie loves to sit and read books, so I decided to get her a chair for her birthday. Her birthday isn't until January 11, but when it came in I wanted to see if she liked it. She loved it so much I couldn't take it away and make her wait. :)

Say Cheese

Trying to get the "perfect picture" for Christmas cards is not an easy task! We had a rough time and then we received a card with 4 dogs and 2 humans in the picture. They were all looking at the camera and looked good too! I was impressed!
Here are a few of the pictures that didn't make our Christmas card...

Raise the roof!

I think she knew this was the only time she wouldn't hear "no no" when she touched the ornaments.

This is the reaction I was talking about with the shaking and saying oh! So glad we got a picture of it. It cracks me up every time!

Adoring Uncles

Charlie has some great uncles(and aunts too :)). Some have even said the best in the world and even the universe!
Uncle David seeing Charlie for the first time over Thanksgiving Break.
He stopped by on his way into town to see Chuck as he calls her. :)
Uncle Michael reading There is a Monster at the End of This Book to Charlie.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Charlie has been so much fun this Christmas! She is old enough to know something is going on and react to the changes. When we put the Christmas tree up she was amazed! She looked at the tree, then looked at me, then back at the tree, and she straightened her arms and started to shake with excitement while saying "Ohhh!" (check out the "Say Cheese" post for a picture) She has been really good about not messing with the tree too! That has been a pleasant surprise because she is usually into everything she finds. When she sees the stuffed santa on the mantle she says "ho" and points at him. She sometimes says "ho" to snowmen too! :) She doesn't understand the whole concept yet, but her excitement and joy are making the holidays even more fun. I can't wait to see her reaction on Christmas morning! Here are some pictures of Charlie helping Grandma decorate her Christmas tree.

Getting Her Grub On

Charlie is usually a very good eater and there aren't too many things she doesn't like. She especially loves beans! It amazes me how quickly we went from baby food to "real" food and how well she can feed herself.

This is how Charlie sits if we go out to eat. She doesn't want to talk to us....she wants to watch everyone else in the restaurant. :)

Worst Blogger Ever

I know I have seriously been slacking on up dating this blog. Time has just been flying by and I haven't been taking as many pictures as I should be...Anyways, enough about that and on with the new posts!

9 Months Old

Charlie is looking out the window trying to find Buddy and Tippy.

Pictures with Santa

Charlie wasn't in the best mood when we went to take Santa pictures. She wasn't so sure about this new man in red either. After this top picture she started to lose it. Ha!

Where's Charlie?!

Sorry this video is so dark, but every other time I've tried to record her doing this she's stopped...

First Ride on the Kubota

Charlie's First Football Game

We got to go watch Jordan cheering at a game in Decatur last week. It was great to see Jordan! She is becoming a lovely young woman. Charlie loved watching the cheerleaders and all of the people at the game. It got a little chilly when the sun went down, so we didn't get to stay for the whole game. But it was great to see Jordan in action. :)

Spending Time with DeDe and Grandma

Charlie, Grandma, and DeDe went to make ornaments last week. Charlie made ornaments with her hand and foot prints. They had fun, and we can wait to see the end result!

Making Music with Daddy

Weekend Fun

I now look forward to weekends more than I ever have before. Getting to hang out with Ryan and Charlie is so much fun. This weekend we went to the Fiddler's Convention in Athens. We bought Charlie some hats for this winter. Charlie is starting to ham it up when I get the camera out. Here are a few pictures from this weekend...

Silly Daddy...

Miss Priss

I know my posts have been few and far between lately. Between Charlie, work, and home, things have been pretty busy. Charlie seems to have really changed a lot in the past few weeks, and she is hitting a lot of milestones too. She is pulling up, clapping, trying to hand feed herself, and making all kinds of new noises. Her personality is really starting to come out too! I think she is going to be pretty stubborn. I just know she gets that from Ryan!

Girls' Day Out

Monday Charlie and I met Aunt Jelly at Bridge Street. We went to lunch and shopped a little. Charlie and I watched Aunt Jelly while she tried on clothes...well I watched Aunt Jelly...Charlie on the other hand was a little enamored with herself .
